Homecoming week

Rutgers-Camden took the lead for good with a pair of first-half goals as freshman midfielder
Kacie Walton (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington) picked up her first collegiate points with a goal and an assist. Only 7:44 into the game, Walton's corner kick into the box was finished on a header by junior midfielder
Aubrey Andrews (Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights) for her second goal of the season. The Scarlet Raptors struck again at 22:50 after a run down the right side by senior forward
Catherine Fiore (Collingswood, NJ/Paul VI). She sent a cross to the far post, where Walton slid in her first collegiate goal. It was the team-leading third assist for Fiore, and hiked her career point total to 50.

Ramapo created several dangerous opportunities in the second half and finally cashed in at 58:23 when junior forward
Amber Hermanns (Township of Washington, NJ/Westwood) scored at the left post, assisted by freshman midfielder
Liliann Vizcaino (Lodi, NJ/Lodi). The Roadrunners nearly tied the game less than one minute later when sophomore back
Skyler Rybacki (Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey) sent a shot off the crossbar.

Rutgers-Camden nearly added an insurance goal in the 77th minute, but Fiore was denied on a backsave at the goal line. Only 53 seconds later, however, that insurance tally came when junior midfielder
Kaitlyn Ennis (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington) scored off a feed from freshman back
Maddie Blanda (Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights). Blanda touched the ball to Ennis in the box for a short-range goal, her first at Rutgers-Camden since transferring to the school from Wesley College. It also was the first career assist for Blanda.

Raptor junior keeper
Katie Gurba (Westampton, NJ/Holy Cross) made four saves in working the majority of the game, while sophomore
Liz DiCamillo (Blackwood, NJ/Triton Regional) didn't need to make a save while combining on the shutout. For Ramapo, freshman keeper
Elizabeth Harvell (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) had three saves and was aided by one backsave.

Rutgers-Camden will play a 4 p.m. non-conference game Wednesday at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. The Engineers, who received 18 votes toward the
D3soccer.com Top 25 poll last week, will bring an 8-2 record into that game, including a 1-0 loss to the nation's top-ranked team, William Smith College, on Saturday.
