Rutgers-Camden Athletics

A transfer who previously played at Manhattanville College, Alexis Sommers joins the Rutgers-Camden women’s basketball program this season. A junior academically, she has sophomore eligibility in basketball.
 
Pre-Rutgers: Played the 2013-14 season at Manhattanville College, appearing in 12 games…Averaged 0.8 points and 0.3 rebounds, while collecting 11 assists and three steals…Tallied a season-high six points against Old Westbury (Dec. 21).
 
High School: Multi-sport star who graduated from Haddon Township High School in 2013…Played four years of basketball, two of field hockey and one of tennis…Helped lead the Hawks to the Colonial Conference title in 2012.
 
Personal:  Born March 18, 1995…Enjoys hanging out and going places with friends, working out and relaxing…Marketing major who plans to pursue a Master’s degree…Alexis is the daughter of Tom and Natalie Sommers of Collingswood.
