Freshman Leila O’Brien played a key role in the success of the Rutgers-Camden women’s tennis program during the fall semester, posting an overall record of 17-4 and winning a pair of tournament championships.
Tennis Fall 2025: Captured championships at the King’s College Invitational (Sept. 7) in both the sixth singles and third doubles spots, respectively…Went 4-0 at King’s in singles competition, defeating Wilkes (6-3, 6-4) in the final and combined with Katie Moore to go 3-0 in doubles play, defeating Scranton (6-3) in the final…Overall, posted a 9-2 mark in singles (0-1 at fifth singles and 8-1 at sixth singles) and an 8-2 mark at third doubles, including her results at King’s College…In dual match singles play, posted wins at sixth singles against Cedar Crest (Sept. 20, 6-0, 6-0), Penn State-Abington (Sept, 27, 6-0, 6-0), DeSales (Oct. 4, 6-1, 6-1), California (PA) (Oct. 10, 6-1, 6-2) and Lehman (Oct. 17, 6-1, 6-2)…Lost at sixth singles against Bryn Mawr (Oct. 3, 1-6, 4-6) and Pratt Institute (Oct. 5, 3-6, 4-6)…Helped the Raptor team record points with forfeit wins against Penn State-Brandywine (Sept. 12), Cairn (Sept. 19) and Eastern (Sept. 26), results that don’t count on the individual record…In doubles play, combined with Moore for wins over Cedar Crest (6-0), Penn State-Abington (6-0), DeSales (6-2), Pratt Institute (6-1) and Lehman (6-1)…Lost at third doubles against Bryn Mawr (2-6) and California (PA) (1-6)…Also earned wins for the Raptors with three forfeits, which don’t count on the individual records.
High School: Played high school tennis at Queen’s College in Nassau, The Bahamas, for Coaches PJ and KJ Major…Graduated in 2025.
