Andrew “Drew” Harper set program records, was an academic standout and served as a student-athlete leader during his collegiate career with the Rutgers-Camden indoor and outdoor track teams. After graduating in 2020, the Collingswood native joined the outdoor track coaching staff in 2021.
 
Harper, who held the former program records in the weight throw (15.09 M) and the hammer (44.20 M), was a four-year member of the Scarlet Raptors’ indoor and outdoor track programs. With a double major in History and Psychology, along with a minor in Childhood Studies, Harper earned eight berths on the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, was a three-time New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention selection and was named to the ECAC Spring 2018 Academic Honor Roll. Harper also served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee throughout his collegiate career, including his duties as the SAAC Co-Vice Chair during the 2017-18 scholastic year and the SAAC Co-Chair for 2018-19.
 
Harper earned Most Dedicated Athlete honors as a freshman with the indoor track program and was named the Most Valuable Field Athlete with the indoor/outdoor programs for three straight seasons, from his sophomore through his senior seasons. A track team captain, he earned weekly honors from both the New Jersey Athletic Conference and the ECAC during his junior year, while adding three awards as Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week.
