Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Isan Salamanca joined the Rutgers-Camden tennis program during the 2025 fall semester and competed everywhere from the third through sixth singles spots.
 
Tennis Fall 2025: Saw his first collegiate action at the King’s College Invitational, posting a 2-1 record and reaching the semifinals at the sixth singles spot and going 0-1 with Christopher Abacan at third doubles…Overall, combining the King’s College results with the dual match season, he went 3-5 in singles and 1-3 in doubles…Went 0-1 at third, fourth and fifth singles and 1-1 at sixth singles…Combined with Abacan to go 1-1 in dual matches at second doubles and went 0-1 at second doubles with John Brady…In singles, defeated Cairn (Sept. 19), 6-1, 6-3, and lost to Eastern (Sept. 26), 3-6, 3-6…Lost at fourth singles against Penn State-Abington (Sept. 27), 1-6, 2-6…Lost at third singles against DeSales (Oct. 4), 0-6, 0-6…Lost at fifth singles against Pratt Institute (Oct. 5), 0-6, 0-6…Posted a 6-3 win at second doubles against Cairn, teaming with Abacan…Lost against Eastern, 0-6, at second doubles with Abacan…Teamed with Brady in a 2-6 loss at second doubles against Penn State-Abington.
 
High School: Tennis letterman at Gateway Regional High School…Graduated in 2025.
 
Personal: Born February 7, 2007…Enjoys playing tennis, and “hanging out with my friends whenever I’m trying to relieve stress from college studying or recovering after a long tennis session.”…Nursing major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to “pursue my passion for nursing and become a nurse practitioner at any type of hospital that would have me.”…Isan is the son of Jennifer and Isabelo Salamanca of Westville.
